'Bell, Book and Candle'

Hello Loves,
Long time no see. I've been unwell after a trip to Whitby where I had some dodgy mussels. I'm back on my feet now and feeling chipper. So here's a little ditty at Wayne's behest. He says the Eddi Reader version is good too if you can find it but this chap, Boo....(by heck! I ask you, will they ever learn?) wrote the song with Eddi. I quite like it and it mentions ghosts...spooky! Enjoy!

'Bell, Book and Candle' - Boo Hewerdine

The blue around the morning moon
The colour of your eyes
I remember holding you
Fall through summer skies
You're everything that I've become, every word I say
I need a bell, book and candle to keep your ghost away
White horses on a troubled sea
Your smile will flash through time
Up ahead a blackbird's wing
Your hair will come to mind
Every night I see your face when I have to pray
I need a bell, book and candle to keep your ghost away
Keep your ghost away, keep your ghost away
I need a bell, book and candle to keep your ghost away
Just before the thunder roars
I sense you next to me
And as I move through nature
I know where you will be
So I must keep myself apart, here is where I'll stay
With a bell, book and candle to keep your ghost away

'The Only Living Boy in New York'

'The Only Living Boy in New York' - Everything But The Girl

Tom, get your plane right on time.
I know your part'll go fine.
Fly down to Mexico.
Da-n-da-da-n-da-n-da-da and here I am,
The only living boy in New York.
I get the news I need on the weather report.
I can gather all the news I need on the weather report.
Hey, I've got nothing to do today but smile.
Da-n-da-da-n-da-da-n-da-da here I am
The only living boy in New York
Half of the time we're gone but we don't know where,
And we don't know here.
Tom, get your plane right on time.
I know you've been eager to fly now.
Hey let your honesty shine, shine, shine
Da-n-da-da-n-da-da-n-da-da
Like it shines on me
The only living boy in New York,
The only living boy in New York.
